Registered Nurse (RN) – Juvenile Secure Center
Schedule/Shift: Full-Time, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, 40 hours/week
Cedar Park Med is hiring a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate and professional care in a juvenile secure facility. This role requires strong clinical skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to manage high-acuity patients in a structured environment.
Position Overview:
As an RN in this setting, you will play a critical role in maintaining the physical and emotional health of young individuals. You will provide nursing assessments, administer medications, coordinate care, and support daily health operations under the supervision of facility leadership.
Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing care to residents, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration

Monitor patients’ physical and mental health status and update care plans accordingly

Respond to medical emergencies and behavioral incidents professionally and promptly

Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including medical, security, and administrative staff

Maintain accurate and timely medical records

Educate residents on health-related topics and medication compliance
Requirements:

Valid RN license in the state of employment

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; juvenile or behavioral health experience preferred

BLS (CPR/AED) certification required

Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and crisis management skills

Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends
