Cedar Park Group needs dynamic, recovery-oriented School teachers! Under general supervision and with considerable independence of judgment and action.
Licensed Teachers to Provide mental health treatment for children and young adults, ages 5-21. Teachers will be
needed during both the regular school year schedule (September – June) as well as summer school sessions (July – August).
We have temporary assignments, open ended contracts, temp to hire and direct hire positions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare course and unit outlines, lesson plans, educational progress reports and individual education plans.
- Provide individual attention and assistance to meet the varied needs and abilities of learners.
- Motivate and encourage learner participation.
- Maintain control of the class and, if necessary, request assistance following prescribed facility policy.
- Act as advisor to student groups and organizations.
- Use relevant technology to support instruction and individual skill development.
Minimum Qualifications: - You must possess the appropriate certification necessary for appointment, as follows
- Teacher 1 (SG-12): Bachelor’s degree including satisfactory completion of the semester hours required for the teaching specialty.
- Teacher 2 (SG-13): Current New York State Education Department provisional/initial certification in classroom teaching in Students with Disabilities/Special Education.
- Teacher 3 (SG-15): Current New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in Students with Disabilities/Special Education.
- Teacher 4 (SG-17): Current New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in Students with Disabilities/Special Education and 2 years of Experience.
