Cedar Park Group is seeking a part-time CDL-A Driver/Shop Assistant to transport a variety of construction equipment locally and regionally and assist our shop mechanic.
Requirements:
- Class A Commercial Driver's license
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a CDL-A Driver hauling heavy equipment
- Thorough understanding of the proper operation and maintenance of trucks and trailers
- Clean driving record for past 3 years
- Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, reach, pull and lift
- Able to travel and work extended hours as needed in all weather conditions
- Able to work with fuel, lubricants and solvents
- Able to pass a DOT physical and drug test and be subject to random drug screening
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Current 40-hour HAZWOPER a plus

The CDL Class A Driver involves:
- Lowboy driver consisting of oversized and flatbed loads in a safe, professional manner
- Perform Pre/Post Trip inspections
- Complete trucking logbook per DOT regulations
- Basic equipment operating skills with the ability to read and write description of mechanical problems and repairs
- Experience with understanding/reading hauling permits
- Follow safety rules/regulations at all times
- Experience safely running oversized equipment
- Overnight travel may be required
- Basic mechanical skills
