Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional Facility
- Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Day Shift)
Cedar Park Med is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, weekday day-shift opportunity in a secure correctional facility. This role offers a steady schedule, a structured environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a non-hospital setting.
Position Overview:
As an RN in a correctional facility, you will deliver direct nursing care to patients, coordinate care with providers, respond to medical emergencies, administer medications, and support chronic condition management — all while maintaining safety, compliance, and professionalism in a secure institutional setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and emergency nursing care to incarcerated individuals
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and update medical records
- Respond to urgent health situations and triage care accordingly
- Collaborate with physicians, mental health staff, and correctional personnel
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulations
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Active RN license
- BLS or ACLS certification preferred
- Experience in institutional or high-acuity environments is a plus
