Registered Nurse (RN)
Schedule/Shift: Part-Time, Monday–Sunday, all shifts available (Day, Evening, Overnight)
Cedar Park Med is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care in a correctional environment. This role involves direct nursing care, patient monitoring, and support in a secure institutional setting. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote the physical and mental well-being of individuals in custody.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver routine and emergency nursing care to patients
- Assess, plan, and document patient care in accordance with protocols
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient responses and communicate changes to providers
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
- Assist in emergency responses and crisis intervention as needed
- Support compliance with health and safety protocols
Requirements:
- Valid NYS Registered Nurse License
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (corrections or behavioral health preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work in a secure or high-acuity institutional environment
