Cedar Park Med is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) – Pediatric ICU (PICU) for an immediate 13-week assignment in a high-acuity trauma hospital. If you have deep PICU experience and enjoy working in a structured, team-driven ICU environment, this is a strong opportunity.

Shift / Schedule

  • Day shifts available
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 13-week assignment (possible extension)
  • Every other weekend and some holidays required

Position Overview

As an RN in the Pediatric ICU, you will provide advanced critical care to pediatric patients with complex and high-acuity conditions. You’ll complete detailed assessments, deliver ICU-level interventions, and collaborate closely with intensivists and interdisciplinary teams to support safe, consistent care with minimal orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct PICU nursing care with minimal supervision and orientation
  • Perform advanced pediatric assessments and continuous monitoring
  • Administer medications and critical therapies per orders and ICU protocols
  • Identify and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
  • Collaborate with the care team to support safe patient care and clinical outcomes
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record

Required Qualifications

  • Current New York State RN Registration
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Minimum 3 years recent PICU experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care hospital of similar size/level
  • PICU experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center

Preferred Qualifications

  • EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience
