Cedar Park Med is seeking Registered Nurses for immediate openings.

Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, once a month Wednesday hour will be 12pm-8pm:

Requirements:

  • Must have BSN and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Duties:

- Provide direct patient care involving the administration and oversight of medications, vaccinations, buprenorphine inductions and nursing care assessments.
- Participate in the development and implementation of teaching plans for patients, family, and/or caregivers.
- Provide telephone and walk-in triage for acute patient problems and make appropriate provider referrals. Identify substance abuse problems; promote patient self-care activities and treatments that facilitate optimal levels of functioning.
- Assist in coordinating services for new and emerging STAR-Downstate programs related to care, clinical education and research.
- Provide HIV and HCV counseling and testing for clients and family members; perform phlebotomy according to UHB clinical laboratory guidelines.
- Participate in SHC outreach activities, including provision of HIV Pre and Post-test counseling as needed. Participate in the development and implementation of multi-disciplinary case-managed care (e.g., attending team huddles, transition, and prenatal meetings).
- Participate in quality improvement activities related to STAR-Downstate, including quality improvement data tracking, including development of PDSA cycles.

    Cedar Park Med is offering full time, part time, and per diem placements on either a short term (contract) or long term (permanent) basis.
