Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an ultrasound program accredited by the Council for Higher Education (CHEA) and the United States Department of Education (USDOE), specifically in diagnostic medical sonography.
  • RDMS certification in Abdominal and OB/Gyn.
  • Minimum of one year experience required; two years preferred for certain roles.
  • Experience in breast ultrasound required for two of the roles; procedural background in biopsies is a plus.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

General Duties:

  • Independently operate sonographic equipment, perform diagnostic examinations, and communicate results.
  • Manage daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, including patient scheduling and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure quality assurance and maintain standards.
  • Use independent judgment to differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
  • Obtain appropriate medical histories and communicate findings to a radiologist.
