  • Adequate knowledge of relevant tools, masonry techniques, equipment, and materials
  • Must be in good physical condition with no limits on bending, stooping, walking, standing and ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must follow established regulations and advocate for safety on each worksite

  • Masonry work experience is great but we will consider limited work experience.
  • Experience around commercial worksites is desirable.
  • OSHA 10 certification adds value

    Job Description:

    The masonry laborer job description entails duties which may include transporting bricks to the work area, transporting bricks or other materials to the scaffold where the mason is working, mixing grout and moving it to the work area, cutting the bricks that are needed for corners, arches and complex patterns, and so on.

    The masonry laborer is responsible for carrying out several daily activities which range from moving materials and equipment to assisting in the project chores and so on.

    He/she may also be responsible for laying building materials such as concrete and brick and constructing and repairing surfaces or structures.

    He/she may also be tasked to carry out some masonry duties such as preparing surfaces before beginning a work, laying blocks or bricks in accordance with blueprints, plans, or drawings.

    The masonry laborer work description also involves laying out work with the use of relevant materials such as chalk lines, tapes, squares, plumb bobs, and levels; and mixing cement with the use of hoes, cement-mixing equipment or any other relevant hand tools.

    To work in the role of a masonry laborer requires the candidate to possess certain skills and attributes or characteristics before they can be qualified to do the job.
